A GROWING WORK IN NICARAGUA

In Nicaragua, addiction continues to impact individuals and families, often with limited access to structured recovery and long-term support. Many communities are working to respond, but resources and proven recovery models can be difficult to access.

Since 2022, Novō Communities has been supporting the development of two recovery communities — Centro Manahaim in Matagalpa and Campo Gonia in Granada. Through partnership and local leadership, these communities are beginning to offer hope, structure, and a pathway to recovery.

This is a growing work, focused on equipping local teams to build sustainable, life-changing communities.

OUR VISION

Empowering Local Recovery Communities

In Nicaragua, Novō’s role is to support and strengthen existing communities, helping them develop effective, long-term recovery programmes rooted in both structure and care.

This includes mentoring local teams, providing training, and equipping communities with Beyond Addiction, Novō’s recovery manual. This resource offers personal recovery exercises, structured group material, and a framework for consistent, meaningful support.

Leaders from Nicaragua are also connected with the wider Novō network, including training visits to Bolivia, enabling shared learning and the development of strong, sustainable recovery models.

Through this approach, Novō is helping to build communities that can bring lasting transformation to individuals, families, and the wider society.
